ASK EDDY drew into a big 10 horse field Friday night (yup, Friday night). It’s a $5,000 claiming raced going a mile and 70 over the dirt. It’s salty field with some real speedsters as well as a couple of closers, but our boy certainly has a shot – more on that later this week.
The race Friday night is race 5 and we’ll see if we can get Silks for the penultimate night of the Canterbury season.
Well I wish mundy well I’m sure she will regain her form in Arizona and have success. I wish she would have done better for us! Now let’s hope eddy does well AND DOESN’T GET CLAIMED! Thanks Ted and Jeff for the morning get togather that was informative and a lot if fun! Sam & Julie
I noticed that Mundy was claimed back by her previous owner. I hope she does well. She never seemed to like the track at Canterbury much plus she had a few other problems. She seems like such a nice mare.
Looking forward to seeing Eddy run on Friday (and hopefully in Chicago too!).
Oops – forgot to mention that we enjoyed the donuts etc. Thanks for setting that up!
I thought I heard them say mundy was claimed, is this true? And does this mean only eddy will run at hawthorne or will we look for a second horse?
We’ll see how EDDY does on Friday night and take a look at the finances. If it makes sense, we may go after one more, but it’s tough at this late date to pick up a horse we know we have to sell in about 90-days.
