MARYJEAN worked a sharp 4 furlongs this morning at Hawthorne, getting the distance in :47.2, the fastest time at the distance this morning of 12 works. She may not keep the top spot since there is still an hour of training left, but she’s still sharp.
We’re looking at running her in a 6 furling sprint for $5,000 claimers the second week of the meet. Tentative date is 9/16.
TERICE is tentatively looking at an $8,000 claiming race going a flat mile over the turf on October 3.
Nothing is official until entries are drawn a few days before each race, of course.
