TERICE will take on nine rivals on Saturday at Hawthorne’s sixth race. The race is an $8,000 claiming race at a mile over the turf. Tim Thornton is again on board and, once again, we can’t shake the crappy post position. I guess we can take some solace in the fact that we’re not the 10 spot…she drew in the 9 hole. Estimated post time is 4:15 PM Central Time.
A full preview will appear later in the week. We also received Clay’s September bill. I shall update the spreadsheet and get that up in the next few days. It will probably appear at the bottom of the preview page.

For members of last year’s group – Ask Eddy won the 8th race at Thistledown today and was claimed.
Looks like Eddy changed hands before this race as well. Prior to this race at Thistledown he was owned by Midwest Thoroughbreds, who had run him twice there. This race he was owned by a Thomas Theodore. Now he was claimed by Candy Courtemanche and trained by Canterbury regular, Bryan Porter. Another Canterbury horse, Beat Your Bluff, finished 6th and was also claimed. In his last 5 starts, Eddy has 4 wins and a second.
I see that Maryjean had a four furlong work today in 49 flat, 4/17 for the distance. Looks like she’s ready to go too!
