There are a few miscellaneous items to share.
The Minnesota Thoroughbred Association is sponsoring a “Morning With A Trainer”. This is designed to give you the opportunity to see what goes into prepping a horse for a race. That said, it is also designed for folks ready to take the next step in owning a horse. While it certainly would be informative and interesting, it also is limited to only 12 adults per day so they ask that RSVPs please be limited to people that are ready – or just about – to step into ownership on their own. No children are allowed.

Spend a Morning with a Trainer
In case you missed it on Canterbury Live, the blog of Canterbury Park, there was a video feature on the Club, Alumni group and becoming an owner. Michelle Benson did a great job putting this together and an even better job editing my small role!

Getting Started as a Racehorse Owner
The August 14 tour is full (actually a bit over). I hope that the weather cooperates as fully as it did this past weekend!
Finally, during the tour yesterday several folks asked about joining the Alumni Group. The group, for lack of a better term, is a closed circle – the only way in to buy someone out. However, if there is enough interest, we’d be happy to get a second Alumni Group going. We won’t get into the parameters here but the basic differences are the price is higher, you can be liable for losses, the goal is to try and make money and we can keep on going even after December 31. Please email me at ted@grevelisracing if you are interested and we can set up an “informational” email group and go from there.
Have a safe and happy Independence Day!
