Vanderboom Ridge came out of the race okay. Montalvo certainly had him in a nice position but he lacked a closing kick. Clay will be making some adjustments and we should be looking for him right back in this spot ($8000 CL) in a couple to three weeks.
Right now the weather outlook is solid so there should be turf races for a while longer. The upside is, mud aside, Boomer can do well over a fast/good dirt course so we should have some options going forward.
Since it was so long between races, I am really looking forward to his next out as it really is tantamount to a second race after a layoff and I think Boomer will respond well to getting back into the groove again.
