If Belle is going to race on the turf for the first time, will she ever be introduced to the turf prior to that race? Is that even possible?
Sorry, Bruce, this didn’t come through via my email but the long and short of it is that there is no training in the turf course unless approved by the stewards in advance. Usually that is the case of a horse that is going to run in a turf stakes race, not for “every day” horses. Belle did run on the turf a couple of years back and handled it well.
Thanks Nevada for the information!! Hopefully Sunday!!
