We’re racing!
Friday night I’ll Never Give Up will go in the 2nd race on the card. The race is a 1 mile Maiden Special Weight with Ry Eikleberry taking the reins. The field of 7 should be heading postward at 7:15 PM.
The Club has space in Silks for the evening. For those of you not familiar, Silks is the bar space between the “Little Big Thrill Factory” and the apron. When you come in through the doors from the paddock, walk toward the apron and hang a left. There are both indoor and outdoor areas. Look for the signs on the tables (inside) or on the sign post (outside).
Group 1 (Anderson – Gilmer) will be up Friday night. For those of you taking advantage of the space in Silks, I will be over there after the first race and we’ll head over to the paddock. Those of you Group Oners that will be elsewhere, meet us at the paddock gate after the replays of race 1.
I will be posting details on paddock etiquette tomorrow.
Not to be overshadowed, Mr. Ark worked three furlongs this morning under Orlando Mojica. He did it well within himself and galloped out strongly. Stay tuned, as we are entering him tomorrow for Saturday!
Finally, thanks to everyone who attended the coffee get together Saturday. We had a lot of fun and got to know each other a bit as well.
Here’s to, hopefully, a big weekend! GGOD LUCK!
I love the jockey….

How does it work for those that are not in group 1 but might there so if the horse wins can they still be in the winners circle or is it just for that group?
All members get to go to the winners’ circle if we get that fortunate
Anyone willing to trade Friday paddock (group one) with me (group 2) probably for Saturday with Mr Ark.
I cannot be there Saturday or Sunday but would love the opportunity Friday. Thank you for your consideration.
Ted,
What is I Never Give Up’s “call” name?
She doesn’t really have one. We all just call her “the filly”.
Okay, then we should come up with a fitting name😊
I agree, maybe the club could vote on a name for her? (Poor thing!)
Maybe after this weekend we’ll have a little competition to see what we can call her?
I think that sounds great!
