There is a month to go left to renew or sign up for the 2019 Canterbury Racing Club. The deadline is February 28, 2019.
Here are the guidelines:
Members pay $250 to join the Club. There are no additional fees.
Members receive admission to Canterbury Park for the entire 66-day season as well as, if available, a special location to gather on race day, rotating paddock access and – if the Club experiences success – access to the Winners’ Circle following the race. You also will have the opportunity to join a backstretch tour during the season and visit the barns.
This is a not for profit venture, offering an educational experience to familiarize members with the ins and outs of racehorse ownership and “pull back the curtain”, if you will, to de-mystify the sport.
Once the enrollment period ends, the Club’s trainers will begin to search the country for potential horses to bring to Canterbury Park. You will learn more about that process and many other aspects of ownership as days go by.
Our trainers this year are Minnesotan Nevada Litfin and five time national leading trainer in wins, Karl Broberg.
If you’re renewing, please let either Jeff (jmaday@canterburypark.com) or Ted (ted@grevelisracing.com) know – even if you won’t have your money in for a few weeks. We’d like to get a rough headcount to know what we’ll have to work with this coming season.

what is the ages for this
The Club is 18 and above.
When will the Club be looking to begin claiming horses? How are the sign ups going. Hope we have a good large group with some good large horses!
Signups are chugging alone. I would anticipate that we’ll end up around the 150 mark but a large number of current Clubbers have not indicated if they will return. That usually happens closer to the end of sign ups (2/28).
Once the Club is closed, we’ll finalize the accounting, get licensed where we need to and then start looking for horses. Generally that is about mid- end- of March.
Greetings, I’m sorry I am late to respond. I was in the club last season and wish to do it again. Is the fee for returning members the same $250. Please let me know and I will send a check. Thank you! Scott Andersen

Just click on the returning member link in the post above. The form will let you know the returning fee (it is 204.17, I believe). Just fill out the returning member application, fill it out and return via the directions at the bottom of the fork and, boom, you’re back!! We’re thrilled to have you back in the fold for the coming season!
