Just a quick update in Kipper Key’s world. If he’s not settled in already, he will be shortly in stall at Canterbury Park. Our trainer, Clay Brinson, stopped through Chicago on the way in to pick up additional horses that he is bringing up here this summer.
I would anticipate we would see a workout or two out of him over the next couple of weeks as Canterbury opens for training as we gear up for the summer season.
We will also be looking to claim one more horse for the group once racing commences.
The Minnesota Thoroughbred Association is hosting a new owner seminar on Kentucky Derby Day at Canterbury. The morning will being at 9:00 a.m with coffee and doughnuts on the Mezzanine Level of the Canterbury Park Grandstand. Follow the signs to the stadium seating, on the glass, at the north end of the building. You’ll watch the morning workouts that will be happening on the track and you’ll be able to have some of your questions answered by guest speakers and board members. The seminar will begin at 10:00 a.m.
Should anything of import happen this week, I’m sure Jeff will go ahead and post. I hope you will all forgive my absence this week but Heather and I have a date at the altar so we will be otherwise occupied until we get back to Minnesota next weekend!
Congrats to both of you!
